Been using for 9 months now. I was afraid at first as alot of hairs were coming out but after about 4 months that stopped and I very rarely lose a hair now. If you want a cheap badger brush thats better than the boar ones then try this.

This Badger Brush is a good shaving brush. I am new to this method of shaving along with using a safety razor. I was looking for a low price - quality brush since I am new to this kind of shaving avenue. This Badger brush does loose a few bristles when starting to use it depending on what you use (shaving cream, shaving soap, and etc.). I was happy with the price that I paid for the brush, as I wanted to see if I would enjoy using a shaving brush and safety razor.

I have used "The Art of Shaving" brushes for years. This brush is not that big and the handle is wooden but this brush is high quality and does the job.

Please note that this is my first time using a shaving brush as I just got into the whole old school way of shaving. My experience with this brush was that as soon as I first used it the hairs on the brush came off and on to my face. I am assuming this should not be happening. For $15, I guess it did the job.

This brush is an excellent value. I bought it in December of 2008 so I've been using daily for 18 months with no problems. Some of the reviewers report quality issues; first make sure you follow the following reviewer's advice:

The reviewer describes how I've used my brush since day one. I did make a brush stand out of a wire hanger, so for me a brush stand was not a hidden cost.
If you still have problems then there must be a quality control problem at the manufacturer. That would not surprise me given the price of the brush. Knowing what I know about the brush, if I had a dud, I'd toss it and order another. The next cheapest badger I've seen is over twice the price of this one, so I think it would be worth the risk.
