Philips Norelcom Shaving Unit July 29, 2010 Eva Watson (Arizona) A necessity. The unit is excellent. The cover for the blade unit is fragil and easily damaged, be careful using. The life span for these units are short. The price for the replacement unit is expensive. Norelco has now come out with the same shaver plus an extra shaving unit. It is almost cheaper to throw away the first purchase and get a brand new shaver.
Beware...these replacement heads last about a month. July 27, 2010 G. Marsh I still love the Norelco Arcitec razor, however these after-market replacement heads are junk. The plastic lip that holds them on the body fail in a month or so. I'll buy one more than start looking for a higher quality/reliable razor. I've used Norelco electric razors for 40 years. Very disappointed.
less skin irritation July 26, 2010 J. Daron Bradford (Orem, UT USA) I probably use the shaving heads too long, and it was good to get a new one on my shaver. Shaving goes quicker and with less skin irritation. The price seemed a little steep until I found that the whole head is replaced with all the gears, etc. When you amortize the price over the life of the head, it's not much per month.
Much needed blades July 18, 2010 adj021 (Florence, KY) These were easy to replace and find information online to determine which replacement head was needed. They popped right on and off. My husband's razor was about 1.5 years old and the razor was missing hairs around his neck. Once we replaced the blades it was having a brand new razor again.
Good razor, but blades not prolific July 15, 2010 D. S. Coffey (Spring,TX USA) My husband loves the performance and cut of this razor, however, the blades are difficult to find in the stores. We usually have to purchase these online, which works out better since there is no shipping or tax; BUT once the blades go out, there is no warning, and, the razor completely stops working until you replace the head. The last time this happened I had to go buy him a "backup" razor to get him through until the blades were received in the mail.
