I'm using it and so far there haven't been any problems. Seems to be doing a better job then the cheaper ones I bought from Wal-mart. I guess I'll know in a few months if it craps out like they did.

Philips Norelco Speed 8250XL, for the price, is the best shaver around. I decided, many years ago, that Norelco was the best. Phillips Norelco has really outdone themselves, in closeness, shaving comfort, and battery life.

I use this 2-3 times a week when I'm running late and don't have time for the old fashion. Works great, I like having the trimmer around... unfortunately so does my woman. I have clippers but the trimmer is fine for most days. The shave doesn't burn my face or anything like that and I haven't had to replace the blades yet. Thanks for reading.

This is the first electric razor that I bought and have heard great things about Philips Norelco razors, so I went ahead and bought this one. The razor does a great job, but my only negative is that in a can take a while t shave even with a short beard. However, no nicks or cuts is always a positive.

I bought this shaver after using a Norelco 7775X for years with great success. The 8240XL, however, is a literally painful disappointment. It snags and yanks hairs on the sensitive areas of my neck. Feels like you're getting jabbed by a needle and will quickly jerk you out of a sleepy early-morning haze. Maybe it's got something to do with the way they redesigned the combs with all the added little holes instead of full, open combs all the way around each cutter. It also takes more time spent shaving - i.e. multiple passes - to get a close shave. This shaver is truly not worth what I paid for it. I will be sending it back to Philips Norelco per their 45-day guarantee and purchasing a different brand.
